More silhouette photo's!

Yesterday evening I went together with Hans to the "Gooimeer" where there was a boatrace. It was so cool to see all the big boats together. And of course I took the camera with me, so I could take some silhouettes for my assignment.

Making a visit!

O how I love this kit! You can make such different things with it. I’ve made 2 layouts and the minibook and have so much to play with yet!

Journaling:

While Hans and Regina are away with the canoe, Emil and I got a visit on the little beach from those 2 beautiful swans.

Or….. are we on visit at there normal sleeping place??

On of the canoe man has a baguette with him. Emil can feed that to the swans. They come very close. Even so close that I let Emil do a few steps back.

Emil isn’t afraid for the swans, but he has a appropriate respect for them.

Painting with light1: Silhouettes!

Afgelopen vrijdag kreeg ik de eerste echte opdracht voor de fotografieworkshop: maak silhouettefoto's!
Wow, niet echt een eenvoudige opdracht.
Vandaag het één en ander uitgeprobeerd.
Van de week hoop ik er nog meer te maken. Een beetje zon is wel nodig....

** Last Friday I got my first real assignment for the photografy workshop: make a silhouette picture!
Wow, not really an easy assignment...
Today I tried a little bit of this and that.
This week I hope to take more. A bit sun is necessaire.....

NK Pampus 2007

Vandaag (en de voorgaande dagen) werd het NK Pampus gezeild. Vandaag was de kampioenswedstrijd.
Het was mooi weer, dus zijn we met de boot gaan kijken.
En het was een spannende wedstrijd!

Wiebe Schippers en Bart van Soest (in de 438) wonnen deze race (in een spannende eindspurt) en werden kampioen. Van harte gefeliciteerd!!

Enne... Pampussen zijn de boten die Hans bouwt op de bootbouwerij..!

Last Friday I had the honor to meet Dawn Inskip at a workshop over here in the Netherlands. I know Dawn from online and love to read her blog.

It was so nice to meet her in real live and I had a very good time. Laughed like I did almost never before….

To thank her I made her a little book with some pics I took at the workshop. Can’t show you everything yet, cause Dawn haven’t received it yet.

In the Provence (France) the lavender is the product you see the most.

I love seeing ánd smelling the fields full with lavender.

But…. I didn’t like when the had just cute the lavender and you drove behind a car filled with it. It was just an overkill…..

When we came all the fields were full, but when we left after 3 weeks, almost all the fields were gone…

Painting with light

Vrijdag start ik met een fotografie workshop, online: Painting with light van Cheryl Johnson.
Ik heb er super veel zin in!
Om vast warm te lopen kregen we de opdracht om een portfolio te maken met 2 foto's waar je tevreden over bent en 2 waar je niet tevreden over bent.
En we moesten een zelfportret maken met je naam in de foto.

Dus... aan de gang met zelfontspanner en statief!
Deze eerste foto vind ik het leukst... maar.... hier staat mijn naam er niet op. De tweede vind ik ook leuk en daar staat mijn naam op, maar daar is mijn gezicht wat overbelicht.
Wel een grappige opdracht hoor om zo mee te beginnen. Ben erg benieuwd naar de rest!

** Friday I'm starting with a photografie workshop, online: Painting with light by Cheryl Johnson. I'm so looking forward to it!
To get started we got de assignment to make a portfolio with 2 pics you're happy with and 2 you're not happy with.
And we had to make a selfportrait with your name in the pic.

So at work with selftimer and tripod!
The first picture I think is the best one... but.... my name isn't in the frame... The second one is also a nice one and my name is on it, but my face is overexposed.
I found it a fun assignment to start with! So curious about the rest!

Fantastische avond!!

De workshop van Dawn was helemaal geweldig. Zoooo leuk om Dawn te ontmoetten, heerlijk om Rianne en Marga weer te zien en leuuuuuuk al die meiden die je alleen van online kent.
Ik heb in tijden niet zo gelachen. Thanks girls!!
** The workshop from Dawn was totally cool. It was sooooo much fun to meet Dawn, lovely to see Rianne and Marga again and I loveeeeeed meeting the girls I know online.

Workshop van Dawn Inskip

Vanavond ga ik naar een workshop van Dawn Inskip. Ik 'ken' Dawn van het Scrapbook Chalet forum en vind het echt super om er vandaag echt te ontmoeten.
We gaan een minijaarboekje maken met 2x2 inch foto's. Ik heb foto's geprint van natuurdingen die ik door het jaar gefotografeerd heb.
** Tonight I'm going to a workshop from Dawn Inskip. I 'know' Dawn from the Scrapbook Chalet messageboard and find it so much fun to meet her in real life.
We're going to make a mini yearbook with 2x2 inch pictures. I have printed pics from nature things that I made through out the year.

Er komen een heleboel mensen die ik ken van de online fora. Super om heb eens in het echt te zien! Ingrid, Monique, Marije, Tamara en Emine. En ook een paar reeds bekenden: Marga, Jeanet en Rianne!
Rianne komt vanmiddag al hier heen en dan gaan we samen naar Ede. Gezellig!!!!!

I love ..... pain au chocolate!

Chocoladebroodjes: Emil zijn favoriete ontbijt. Trouwens ook zijn lunch bestond in de vakantie meestal uit Pain au chocolate.
Regina nam er meestal 4 mee van de bakker. Eén voor haar, één voor mij en 2 voor Emil. Verder ook nog stokbrood en croissants. Yummie!

En ook op deze layout weer lint van de July SNS Sassy kit (provided by Savvy N Sassy).

** Chocolate-croissants: Emil his favorite breakfast. Ofcourse his lunch in the vacation was mostly also a "Pain au chocolate".
Regina normally took 4 from the bakkery. One for her, one for me and 2 for Emil.
Further also 'baguette' and 'croissants'. Yummie!

Een boodschap aan mezelf: Geniet! Alsof er nooit meer een morgen zal zijn.
**A message to myself: Enjoy! As if there will never be an other tomorrow.

Deze foto is genomen tijdens onze vakantie en ik was zo ontspannen op dat moment. En in de vakantie werd het me duidelijk: Ik moet meer genieten van het leven.
Dus deze foto is voor my een perfecte herinnering.
Natuurlijk heb ik wat van dat fantastische lint van de SNS July Sassy kit (provided by Savvy N Sassy) en een stukje lint uit de July ZZ Tropical Breeze kit.
**This pic was taken during our vacation and I was so relaxed at that time. And in the vacation it occurred to me that I had to enjoy life more. Vakantieherinneringen met SNS lint!

Net terug van vakantie had ik een grote behoefte om iets te doen met mijn herinneringen die niet in mijn vakantiedagboek passen. Dus ging ik op zoek naar een glazen pot om al mijn herinneringen die ik had verzameld in te doen. Ik ging van winkel naar winkel tot ik uiteindelijk vond wat ik zocht.....

Ik heb alles in de pot gedaan en natuurlijk wat lint gebruikt om het nog mooier te maken. Ik heb de SNS Juli Sassy kit gebruikt (provided door SNS).

**Just back from vacation from France I felt the urge to do something with my memories that doesn’t fit in my traveljournal. So I went hunting for a glass pot to put all the things I’ve collected in. So I went from shop to shop till finally I found what I was looking for…

Put everthing in it and ofcourse I used some ribbon to make it just more beautiful. I used the July SNS Sassy kit (provided by SNS).

Op onze vakantie ontwikkelden we een paar gewoontes. Dingen die we bijna elke dag deden. Ik wilde deze vastleggen, want dit zijn de dingen die je het snelst weer vergeten bent. Daarom maakte ik een layout met 16 foto's van onze kleine gewoontes.

**On our vacation we had quit a few habits. Things we do almost every day.
I wanted to put that down, cause that are the things you’ll forget the quickest, I think. So I made a layout with 16 pictures ofour little habbits.

Terug uit de Provence!

Zaterdag zijn we terug gekomen uit de heerlijk zonnige Provence.
We hebben het echt fantastisch gehad. Heerlijk ontspannen, goed gezelschap, prachtig weer!

Deze rups (10 cm lang!) hebben we daar een aantal keer gezien. Nu nog uitzoeken wat voor een vlinder er uit komt...
**This Caterpillar (10 cm long) we have seen there a couple of times. Now I want to know what kind of butterfly it will be....

Emil had zijn eigen vakantieboek en wilde daar ook graag foto's in geplakt hebben. Hij liet het iedereen zien....

Lekker zwemmen/ varen/ waterfietsen in de Verdon. Zo mooi blauw!
